In a rotary disc filter the cover segment of filtering medium a is drawn over the smaller end of the disc segment f and tautened into position by a screw e bearing on the segment f, at f<SP>1</SP>, and having a trunnion e<SP>4</SP> which locates in a pair of eyelets c<SP>2</SP>. The strips c are then sewn together to secure the cover a in position. The cover segment a is made of phosphur bronze gauze of substantially sector shape and provided with a nylon neck b and two nylon strips c rolled at their outer edges to carry stiffening rods d and eyelets c<SP>2</SP>. |
