PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use DSP for existing RGB Bayer array for using color coding where colors being main components of a luminance signal are arranged checkerwise.SOLUTION: A CMOS image sensor 10 includes a color filter section (color filter array) 30 of color array, which transmits a color or light becoming a main component of a luminance signal onto a pixel array section 12 where pixels are two-dimensionally arranged in a matrix, and in which areas corresponding to the pixels are arranged checkerwise and a plurality of colors being color information components are arranged in a remaining part. Signals corresponding to the color array of the color filter section 30, which are outputted from the pixel array section 12 via a column processing section 14, are converted into signals corresponding to RGB Bayer array in a conversion processing section 16 arranged on a semiconductor substrate (sensor chip) 11, and the signals are outputted outside the semiconductor substrate (sensor chip) 11. |
