The present invention relates to a wire rod and a steel wire used in a tire cord or the like and, more specifically, provides a high-strength wire rod and a steel wire and a manufacturing method of a wire rod. According to an aspect of the present invention, the high-strength wire rod comprises: 0.05-0.15 wt% of C; 0.5-1.5 wt% of Si; 1.0-2.0 wt% of Mn; 0.005-0.02 wt% of N; 0.03 wt% or less of P; 0.03 wt% or less of S; and the remainder including Fe and inevitable impurities wherein a microstructure includes, by area fraction, 25-43% of martensite and the remainder consisting of ferrite. According to the present invention, it is possible to provide a high-strength wire rod through control of alloy components and double-stage heat treatment, and is possible to provide a high-strength steel wire having a tensile strength of 4000 MPa or higher using the wire rod. |
