Embodiments of the present invention relate to a beacon service system using a beacon gateway having a network interworking function, which forms a wide area beacon network on the basis of a beacon gateway having a network interworking function, and thus enables a variety of services such as finding a location, promoting a store, offering an online coupon, etc. to be provided, and to a method for providing a service based on a beacon signal using the same. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the beacon service system using a beacon gateway having a network interworking function may comprise: a moving beacon which is movable, and wirelessly transmits a beacon signal; a beacon gateway which receives the beacon signal transmitted from the moving beacon and then wirelessly transmits the beacon signal to send to an external server via a communications network; and a beacon service server which detects location information of the beacon gateway through the beacon signal transmitted from the beacon gateway and then transmits service data based on the detected location information to a mobile communication terminal via the communication network. |
