Disclosed is a thermostat. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the thermostat includes: a housing including a cooling water path; an actuator of which end part is inserted into the housing with force, and which provides operating force; a rubber sealing member installed in the end part of the actuator to seal a gap between a side wall of the housing and an outer surface of the actuator; a valve member opening and closing the path of the housing while being moved by the operating force of the actuator; and at least one support unit having higher strength than the sealing member, and elastically supporting the side of the actuator and the side wall of the housing between the actuator and the housing. The present invention is capable of reducing the volume of an installation space in an upper part of a heater placed in the installation space. |
