An insulated high voltage cable termination device (1) comprising a hollow housing (3) with a first end member (7) at a first end (5) of the housing and a second end member (11) at a second end (9) of the housing, and a side wall (13) connecting said end members. The housing is filled with an insulation medium. The device further comprises a length of high voltage cable (20) located inside the housing and extending from the first end member to the second end member, The device comprises a length adjustment arrangement(18; 28; 22; 24; 26) for adjustment of an internal length of the housing (3) between the end members and/or the length of the cable (20) inside the housing. Also disclosed is a method for straightening a length of a high voltage cable (20)located in a cable termination device (1).
