In a manufacturing system (10) with a base (20) and multiple work machine modules (30) disposed on said base (20) or to the side of the base (20) in an array direction and detachable from the base (20), the multiple work machine modules (30) are configured to comprise at least one processing work module (30B, 30E) for performing machining work on a workpiece using a tool and at least one ancillary work module (30A, 30C, 30D, 30F) for performing ancillary work, which is work performed incidental to said machining work. Because the number of the processing work modules and the ancillary work modules can be varied and/or same can be rearranged easily, rearrangement of the modules according to changes in the manufacturing steps can be performed easily.
