The invention provides a maintaining piece which enables a side gear to be maintained at a specific position in a housing of a speed reducer. The maintaining piece (1) comprises a shaft part (2) which is disposed in a plugging through hole (52) of a driving shaft of the housing of the speed reducer, is bulged towards the interior of the housing of the speed reducer, and is inserted into an embedded hole (11) of the side gear at the specific position in the housing of the speed reducer. The maintaining piece (1) also comprises a ball (26) which appears and disappears freely from a peripheral surface (22a) of a small-diameter part (22) of the shaft part (2) to the axial direction of the shaft part (2). The maintaining piece (1) also comprises a spring (27) which enables the ball (26) to apply a force towards the bulging direction of the peripheral surface (22a). The maintaining piece (1) also comprises a clamping part (3) which is disposed at a big-diameter part (21) of the shaft part (2), and abuts against the upper end (51a) of a supporting part (51) surrounding the plugging through hole (52) to limit the inserting depth of the shaft part (2) into the housing of the speed reducer. The ball (26) is pressed on the inner peripheral surface of the embedded hole (11), and the clamping part (3) abuts against the upper end of the supporting part (51), thereby enabling the side gear to be maintained at the specific position. |
