The present invention discloses a method for processing image signal of radar and a system therefor, which may reduce a data size without a quality deterioration of a radar image signal, and obtain high definition image. A method for processing image signal of a radar according to one embodiment of the present invention may comprise the following steps of: dividing an image signal of the radar into a plurality of time intervals; shifting a central frequency to a predetermined frequency, for each of the signal data of the divided time intervals; converting each of the signal data of a time domain, for which the central frequency is shifted, into a frequency domain; changing a frequency component with no image signal into a predetermined value, for each of the signal data of frequency domain which is converted into the frequency domain; converting each of the signal data of the frequency domain which is changed into the predetermined value, into the time domain; and performing decimation, for each of the signal data of the time domain that is converted into the time domain, and generating a transmission signal. |
