The present invention relates to a semiconductor memory device, and more specifically, to a semiconductor memory device capable of omitting the loading of setup information, a method for operating the same, and a data storage device including the same. The semiconductor memory device comprises: a setup information area for storing setup information necessary for operating a memory cell; a cam block for loading the setup information; a cam status information storage block for storing information which shows whether the setup information loaded on the cam block can be changed; and a control logic. The control logic selectively performs a re-loading of the setup information based on the information stored in the cam status information storage block, when the cam block requires the re-loading of the setup information stored in the setup information area. |
