NORBORNENE-BASED COMPOUNDS WITH HIGH ENERGY AND USES THEREOF

The present invention relates to a novel high-energy norbornene-based compound and a high-energy plasticizer composition comprising the same. The norbornene-based compound of the present invention has high energy density by comprising a ring strain energy group in which an energy group is contained, and low volatility. In addition, the norbornene-based compound of the present invention has viscosity less than or equal to 66 centi -poise (cP) at 25°C and a low phase transition temperature. Therefore, the plasticizer composition comprising the norbornene-based compound of the present invention has excellent physical properties and stability capable of functioning as a high-energy plasticizer without modifying a filler, thereby being able to be effectively applied to gunpowder (composite gunpowder) or a propellant.
