PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire 2 that attains improved grip and abrasion resistance.SOLUTION: This pneumatic tire 2 comprises a tread 4, a side wall 6, beads 8, a carcass 10, a belt 12 and an intermediate layer 22. The side wall 6 extends approximately inward in a radial direction from an end of the tread 4. The beads 8 are positioned closer to approximately inside in the radial direction than the side wall 6. The carcass 10 is hung across one bead 8 and the other bead 8 along radial insides of the tread 4 and the side wall 6. The belt 12 is positioned in the radial inside of the tread 4. The intermediate layer 22 is positioned between the belt 12 and the carcass 10 in the radial direction. The intermediate layer 22 comprises a pair of side parts 40 arranged separately in an axial direction. Each of the side parts 40 includes side cords 42 made of steels, and the side cords 42 extend in an approximate axial direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
