PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simply configured molecular model capable of easily reproducing a molecular structure and a method for reproducing a molecular structure using the molecular model.SOLUTION: In a molecular model 1, a plurality of atom display members 3 reflective of their respective atomic radii are coupled in such a manner that interatomic distances and bonding angles are reflected. Of the plurality of atom display members 3, two atom display members 3(C1), 3(C2) indicative of two atoms coupled by single covalent bonds are coupled by bonding parts 6 such as snap buttons and rotate about bonding axes. An atom display member 3(H) indicative of an atom having an attractive interaction such as a hydrogen bond is attached with a coupling member 8 such as an adhesive member, a magnet, or a surface fastener. Swinging the molecular model 1 optimizes the absorption between the coupling members 8 mimicking attractive interactions.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
