PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a door casing substructure and a construction method capable of enhancing waterproofness.SOLUTION: The door casing substructure has a frame-like shape and is disposed at the side opposite to a bath room with respect to a door body partitioning the doorway of the bath room. The door casing substructure includes: a pair of vertical frame members 15, 15; and a lower frame member 17 which has a pair of mounting seat parts 63, 63 to which the pair of vertical frame members 15, 15 are attached, and a passage part 64 which is disposed between the pair of mounting seat parts 63, 63 and higher than the pair of mounting seat parts 63 and 63. In the lower frame member 17, at least the pair of mounting seat parts 63, 63 and the passage part 64 are formed of a waterproof resin material.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 |
