Provided is a thermoplastic elastomer composition having excellent mechanical properties and also having excellent wear resistance and surface smoothness. Specifically, a thermoplastic elastomer composition is provided that contains a cross-linked composition (X) and a hydrogenated block copolymer (Y) at a mass ratio (X) : (Y) = 10:90-90:10. ・The cross-linked composition (X) is a composition obtained by heat treating, under melting conditions, a composition containing: 100 parts by mass of at least one type of block copolymer (I) selected from a group consisting of a block copolymer and a hydrogenated product thereof, said block copolymer having a polymer block B mainly comprising a structural unit derived from a conjugated diene compound and a polymer block A mainly comprising a structural unit derived from an aromatic vinyl compound and containing at least 1% by mass of a structural unit (a) derived from a styrene having a C1-8 alkyl group bonded to a benzene ring; 10-30 parts by mass of an olefin resin (II); 0.01-20 parts by mass of a cross-linking agent (III); 1-50 parts by mass of a cross-linking agent (IV); and 30-250 parts by mass of a rubber-softening agent (V). ・The hydrogenated block copolymer (Y) is obtained by hydrogenating a block copolymer having at least two polymer blocks C mainly comprising a structural unit derived from an aromatic vinyl compound and at least one polymer block D mainly comprising a structural unit derived from a conjugated diene compound (however the hydrogenated block copolymer does not include the block copolymer (I).)
