The present invention relates to a system for burying a fuel rod. In danger of melting the fuel rod due to an accident of a nuclear power plant, the bottom part of a pressure tank is manufactured to be opened to bury the fuel rod in an underground tunnel. After the bottom part of the pressure tank is connected to the fuel rod, when the danger of melting the fuel rod is generated, the bottom part of the pressure tank is opened, and then the fuel rod is dropped underground by using an elevator which is prepared at the entrance of the underground tunnel. Prepared sand is inputted underground to stop up the underground tunnel. So, the ground exposure of the fuel rod and radioactive contamination can be prevented. |
