<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transfer device that enables to prevent generation of a transfer burr. <P>SOLUTION: The transfer device includes: a supply mechanism 19 that conveys a transfer medium 14 through a transfer position, the transfer medium having a substrate and a surface protection layer provided on the substrate; a medium transfer mechanism 41 that conveys a print medium 10 through the transfer position; a transfer unit 30 that has a heat roller 26 and a backup roller 28 opposite to the heat roller with a predetermined gap, allows the transfer medium and the print medium overlapping with each other to pass between the heat roller and the backup roller, and pressurizes and heats the transfer medium to transfer the surface protection layer onto a surface of the print medium; a first peeling mechanism 25 that peels the substrate of the transfer medium from the print medium, after transferring; and a second peeling mechanism 60 that displaces a rear-end side of a conveyance direction of the print medium in a direction away from the transfer medium to peel the transferred surface protection layer from the substrate at a position of the rear end, after transferring. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
