A composite operating device is provided which enables a reduction in the required overall dimension in a sliding direction. A composite operating device includes a base (10), a slider (30), an operating member (50), a detecting element (61, 62) that is arranged to detect that the operating member has been operated to slide, and a transmission member (71, 72) that is arranged to transmit an operating force acting on the slider to the detecting element. The slider includes a transmission member pressing portion (39, 40) that is arranged to press the transmission member in the sliding direction. The transmission member includes a pressed portion (71a) that is pressed against by the slider and an element pressing portion (71b) that is arranged to press the detecting element in an element pressing direction. The base includes a transmission member retaining portion (25, 26) that rotatably retains the transmission member so that when the pressed portion is pressed by the transmission member pressing portion in the sliding direction, the transmission member rotates and therefore causes the element pressing portion to press against the detecting element. |
