<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydroxy fatty acid derivative-containing extract and a hydroxy fatty acid derivative-containing emulsified product, which are suitable for use in food and drink, cosmetics and the like, are excellent in safety and can be consumed on a daily basis because only a solvent capable of being used for the food and drink, the cosmetics and the like is used, and which contains a hydroxy fatty acid derivative excellent in productivity, showing high yield and high purity, and capable of being produced inexpensively, and to provide the methods of producing them. <P>SOLUTION: The method of producing the hydroxy fatty acid derivative-containing extract includes: an extracting step of extracting a plant material with 80 to 100 vol% of an aqueous ethanol solution to obtain the extracted liquid; a precipitation filtration step of diluting the extracted liquid until it has an ethanol concentration of 25 to 35 vol% and filtering the diluted extract to obtain the precipitated hydroxy fatty acid derivative as a residue; a remelting step of remelting the residue with 70 to 100 vol% of an aqueous ethanol solution to obtain a remelted liquid; and a purifying step of eluting for purification the remelted liquid with 90 to 100 vol% of an aqueous ethanol solution after adsorbing the remelted liquid onto a synthetic adsorbent. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
