Invention refers to a mechanism for opening and closing of a folding knife and similar tools, as well as for security lockup of a blade that consists of two identical, parallel metal sheets (1) and (2) that are part of the handle, separated one from another by an intermediate pad (3) and connected by means of rivets or screws (4), in which a groove (7) has been cut in the length being double than the length of the straight extension of the blade (8), in which has been inserted a sliding locking element (9) in shape of a metal sheet having the same length as the straight extension of the blade (8) with conventionally placed thumb support and the straight extension of the pivotable blade (8) that enters between two sheets (1) and (2). Two sheets within the handgrip (1) and (2) are mutually connected by means of a rivet (10) placed on the their front end, above the groove (7), in such manner that it does not represent a constraint for free pivoting of the blade, wherein it simultaneously functions as a stop for the sliding locking element (9). |
