Disclosed is a communication prompting method, which comprises: a first terminal constructs a communication request carrying communication prompting level indication information; the first terminal sends the communication request to a second terminal; the second terminal receives the communication request sent by the first terminal, the communication request being a communication request carrying the communication prompting level indication information; and when determining that the communication prompting level indication information carried in the communication request meets a preset condition, the second terminal implements communication prompting according to the communication prompting level indication information.
