In a circuit element: an upper drain (Q1D) having an upper switching element (Q1), a lower switching element (Q2), an upper diode element (D1), and a lower diode element (D2) is connected to a first terminal (A) linking to the positive electrode of a power supply; and an upper source (Q1S) is connected to a third terminal (C). A lower drain (Q2D) is connected to a fourth terminal (D) and a lower source (Q2S) is connected to a second terminal (B) linking to the negative electrode of the power supply. An upper anode (D1A) is connected to the fourth terminal (D), and an upper cathode (D1K) is connected to the first terminal (A). A lower anode (D2A) is connected to the second terminal (B) and a lower cathode (D2K) is connected to the third terminal (C). The third terminal (C) and the fourth terminal (D) are disposed on the outside of a package so as to allow short-circuiting.
