PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing device capable of adjusting sealing material applying position and/or fold forming position in accordance with the sizes of various envelopes.SOLUTION: A sealing device 1 includes: conveying means; a sealing agent applying unit 3; a fold forming unit 4; and a sealing unit 5. The sealing device 1 includes: setting means 65 for setting a size of an envelope 10; and a control unit 7 for controlling an amount of conveyance of the envelope 10 by the conveying means, and timing to stop conveyance of the envelope 10 in order to apply a sealing agent at the sealing agent applying unit 3 and form a fold at the fold forming unit 4 on the basis of the size of the envelope 10 set by the setting means 65.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
