1. A data processing apparatus in which an operation screen including a plurality of operation items can be simultaneously operated by a first operator and a second operator, the data processing apparatus comprising:
a projection unit configured to project the operation screen onto a predetermined area; a determination unit configured to determine whether an operator who has performed an operation on the operation screen projected by the projection unit is the first operator or the second operator; and a control unit configured to perform control so as to validate, when the determination unit determines that the operator is the first operator, an operation on a first operation item in the operation screen and an operation on a second operation item in the operation screen, and so as to validate, when the determination unit determines that the operator is the second operator, an operation on the first operation item, and to invalidate an operation on the second operation item.
