Disclosed are a target material separation apparatus and a target material separation method. The disclosed target material separation apparatus comprises: a mixture comprising a target material; a density gradient material layer positioned under the mixture and having a higher density than the density of the mixture; a magnetic bead comprising a magnetic material and being combined with the target material to thus form a conjugate; and a magnetic field generating device for precipitating the conjugate to the lower part of the density gradient material layer by applying a magnetic field to the conjugate.
