The purpose of the present invention is to simplify a sequence of setting a rendering processing range (3D-ROI), and to eliminate complexity in operability involved in displaying a 3-D image. Configured is an ultrasound diagnostic image generating device, comprising: an ultrasound transceiver unit (1002); a user input unit (1006) which receives an input from an operator; a monitor (1011) which is capable of displaying an image; an image processing unit (1005) which, on the basis of a signal which is acquired from the ultrasound transceiver unit, generates tomographic image data of an embryo or fetus and the placenta, and, with the tomographic image data displayed on the monitor, sets a region of interest according to the input from the input unit which includes portion of a region between the embryo or fetus and the placenta; a 3D-ROI correction unit (1008) which, using the region of interest which the operator has set and the tomographic image data, corrects the region of interest and determines the pertinence of the corrected region of interest; and a presentation unit (1012) which presents the result of the determination with the 3D-ROI correction unit. A 3-D image of the embryo or fetus is generated using the corrected region of interest. |
