The invention relates to a flat cable connector which can prevent poor contact of a lower contact beam when a flat cable is lifted up and prevent poor contact of an upper contact beam when a load is applied downward in relative to the upward bending flat cable. In the flat cable connector (1), an action part (24) which is driven by rotation operation of an actuator (40) and enables the lower contact beam (22) moves upward is arranged on a contact member (20); and flat cable bending position correction parts (54, 64) for separating the bending position of the flat cable (70) and the upper contact beam (23) is provided at a front side in a flat cable insertion direction when the flat cable (70) bends upward; and a load bearing part (12) for bearing the flat cable (70) when when the load is applied downward in relative to the upward bending flat cable below the flat cable bending position correction parts (54, 64) and at a front side in a flat cable insertion direction of the lower contact beam. |
