As a result of the present invention, a good diversity effect that is influenced very little by the wireless transmission environment is constantly exhibited even in a frequency-selective fading environment in which blind processing is implemented and severely delayed interference signals are present. A wireless receiver is provided with branches corresponding to every received signal received by a plurality of antennas, and implements space diversity by synthesizing the received signals of the branches. When the wireless receiver subjects the received signals of the branches to diversity synthesis carried out by means of weighting processing based on weighting coefficients, a correction matrix is generated such that a covariance matrix obtained from received signal vectors of the received signals to be subjected to weighting processing is converted to a unit matrix, and the received signals are converted by means of the correction matrix. An eigenvector corresponding to the maximum eigenvalue of the covariance matrix obtained from the received signal vectors of the converted received signals is calculated, and diversity synthesis is carried out with the eigenvectors serving as the weighting coefficients. |
