<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass fiber sizing agent for rubber reinforcement which does not restrict a period in which treatment with a phenol-formaldehyde resin rubber latex dispersion is enabled, in a step of producing glass fibers for rubber reinforcement, substantially avoids fluffing, makes it easy to impregnate the phenol-formaldehyde resin rubber latex dispersion into a glass fiber bundle, and stabilizes qualities such as the tensile strength of glass fibers and the bonding strength to rubber without a large change in the water content of a cake. <P>SOLUTION: The glass fiber sizing agent is an aqueous composition containing an aminosilane, an epoxysilane, a styrene-maleic acid resin half-ester and a polyoxyethylene alkyl ether. By coating with the glass fiber sizing agent, even when a cake is dried by heating, good work efficiency is ensured because of slight fluffing, and glass fibers which make it easy to impregnate a phenol-formaldehyde resin rubber latex dispersion into a glass fiber bundle thereof can be obtained. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
