PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a saddle type vehicle which improves the design flexibility of a functional component in a scooter type vehicle adopting an electronic throttle control device.SOLUTION: A saddle type vehicle includes: an engine having a cylinder 23 extending in a fore-and-aft direction of a vehicle; an air cleaner; an intake passage connecting the air cleaner with an intake port 221; a throttle valve 43 provided at the intake passage; a throttle motor 50 which opens and closes the throttle valve; a motor driver which drives the throttle motor; and a control device which controls driving of the throttle motor according to a manipulated variable of an operator. One end part of the intake passage curves from the upper side of the cylinder 23 to the lower side to be connected with the intake port 221. The throttle valve 43 overlaps with an upper surface of the cylinder 23 in a plane view of the vehicle. The throttle motor 50 is disposed at a position sandwiched between the upper surface of the cylinder 23 and the intake passage in a side view of the vehicle so that at least a part thereof overlaps with the intake passage in the plane view of the vehicle. |
