<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct distortion of a handwritten part in a captured image of a writing medium where handwriting is performed by using ruled lines which are previously printed on the writing medium. <P>SOLUTION: A ruled line detecting section (20) detects a plurality of ruled lines reflected in a captured image obtained by imaging a writing medium on which the plurality of ruled lines arranged at equal intervals are previously printed by imaging means. A geometric conversion matrix calculation section (22) calculates a geometric conversion matrix for correcting distortion in the captured image of the handwritten part in the writing medium in response to ruled line information showing the detected ruled lines.
