<p>A vehicle steering command module (20) as disclosed wherein the command module (20) is necessary to start and control the motion of a vehicle, and once removed from the vehicle the command module (20) can function as a personal computer. The vehicle steering command module (20) includes a housing (22) having a computer processing unit (30) and a connection port (70). Rotation of the command module (20) controls the direction of travel of the vehicle when the command module (20) is releasably connected to a mating connection port (64) of the vehicle. The command module (20) includes at least one input device (32) operably connected to the computer processing unit (30). A cover (34) of the steering command module (20) is moveable between a closed position and an opened position, and includes a display screen (36) operably connected to the computer processing unit (30). The steering command module (20) further includes a pair of opposed handles (38), which are moveable between a retracted position and a plurality of extended positions.</p> |
