Provided is a steering device which has high mounting efficiency and which is capable of accurately detecting the control input of an operating member using a potentiometer. The steering device according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises a frame (1), a rotary shaft (3), the operating member (5), a moving member (7), first and second guide rods (9a, 9b), a swinging member (11), and the potentiometer (13). The moving member (7) has first and second guide walls (7i, 7j) and a concave part (7k) between them. One end of the swinging member (11) has a pin hole (11a). The other end of the swinging member (11) has a convex part (11b) having an active surface (110). The convex part (11b) passes through the inside of the concave part (7k). In this steering device, the active surface (110) slides on the bottom surface (712) of the first guide wall (7i) and the top surface (713) of the second guide wall (7j) with the vertical movement of the moving member (7). By this, the convex part (11b) moves inside the concave part (7k) while being guided to the bottom surface (712) of the first guide wall (7i) and the top surface (713) of the second guide wall (7j).
