[Also in Divisions B6 and E2] A cover which covers the keyboard and ink-ribbon mechanism of a typewriter is removably fitted by forked clips 5 engaging pins 3 on brackets 2 on the typewriter and bearing plates 7 having springs 9 which snap into a bend in an arm 10 fixed on the front sides of the machine. The forward edge 7c engages the upstanding arm 10a and aligns the cover in position. Resilient sleeves 6, 8 lie on the upper edge of the machine 1a so that a firm locking of the front cover is assured. |
