Provided is a support member for a seal ring capable of minimizing looseness when the seal ring is placed between a connector and a case. The present invention relates to a backup plate (60) which, by its attachment to the housing (21) of a connector (20) fixes the seal ring (35) to the housing (21). The backup plate (60) comprises: an annular plate body (61) having a rear surface (66) that faces the seal ring (35) when the annular plate body (61) is attached to the housing (21) and a front surface (68) opposite the rear surface (66); and a plurality of abutting projections (67) that are provided on the rear surface (66) of the plate body (61) and abut the seal ring (35) when the plate body (61) is attached to the housing (21). |
