The present invention relates to a bending system comprising: a bending unit (3) which performs bending on a workpiece; angle sensors (13A, B) which measure the bending angle of the workpiece; an operation control unit (19) which controls movement of the bending unit (3) and the angle sensors (13A, B); a contact prediction unit which predicts contact between the workpiece and the angle sensor; and a location calculation unit which calculates a standby position of the angle sensor to avoid contact between the workpiece and the angle sensor when the contact prediction unit predicts contact between the workpiece and the angle sensor. The operation control unit (19) controls the bending unit (3) and the angle sensors (13A, B) on the basis of the standby position calculated by the location calculation unit. According to the bending system of the present invention, bending may be performed while the angle sensor is used even when contact between the workpiece and the angle sensor is predicted before, after, or during the bending. |
