<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a swinging bowl for which the increase of characteristic frequency is suppressed and the miniaturization is effectively achieved and whose sound well extends and in which fine adjustment of tone color can be performed and which is effectively used to create new tone color. <P>SOLUTION: A small size swinging bowl has a bottom portion and a bowl side portion erecting from the periphery of the bottom portion. The upper side of the bowl side portion is an opening end.
