<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joining method of friction stir welding and an overlapping joint, of improved strength at a joining end part. <P>SOLUTION: A stir shaft of a joining tool for friction stirring that rotates relative to joined members 11 and 12 which have been overlapped together is inserted, and the joined members 11 and 12 are joined together by a joint line 20 formed when the joining tool for friction stirring continuously moves.
