PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seal member and an optical cable closure capable of sealing an optical cable while achieving a reduction in the size and costs.SOLUTION: A seal member 10 is attached to a frame 110 of an optical cable closure to seal a main cable 2, a supporting wire 3, and a drop cable 4. The seal member 10 has a main cable introduction part 102, a supporting wire introduction part 103, and a drop cable introduction part 104. The seal member 10 is made of plastic, and is formed of a material softer than that of the frame 110. The drop cable introduction part 104 is provided with a thin film-like deformation part 105. In the deformation part 105, when the drop cable 4 is not introduced, the drop cable introduction part 104 is closed, and when the drop cable 4 is introduced, the deformation part 105 undergoes plastic deformation by being crushed. |
