<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cut unnecessary power consumption generated in an information processing apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The information processing apparatus that performs predetermined processing includes: a communication unit for performing radio communication with an external device; a first processing unit for controlling operation of the communication unit; a second processing unit for controlling operation of the information processing apparatus and performing predetermined processing; and a power supply unit for switching on and off a power supply of the communication unit. The first processing unit confirms whether the second processing unit is executing predetermined processing with the second processing unit.
