A hockey stick comprises a spliced junction 1 between the handle 3 and head 2, and is bound in the region of the junction with fibre glass tape 4. The tape may be self-adhesive, or may be fixed in place by a separate adhesive. The cross-section of the stick varies from being circular at the upper end of the handle, to being shaped as shown in Fig. 5 at its lower end, 5 being the striking face of the stick.</p> |
