1. An image processing apparatus comprising:
a lens driver configured to drive a lens to change a focus position; an image acquisition unit configured to acquire a first image and a second image taken at a different focus position from the first image; an image size changer configured to change an image size of at least one of the first and second images, according to the difference between a position of the lens where the first image is taken and a position of the lens where the second image is taken; a position shift amount calculator configured to calculate position shift amounts of the first and second images after the image size is changed by the image size changer; a determination unit configured to determine a main object area and a backdrop area in the first image by using the first image and the second image that are positioned based on the position shift amounts; and a blurring unit configured to perform a low-pass filter processing for an area determined as the backdrop area by the determination unit.
