PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handy reader capable of obtaining further improved operability.SOLUTION: A handy reader includes: an antenna unit for reading data stored to a wireless tag by carrying out radio communication with the radio tag for storing the data; a grasp unit which is connected to the antenna unit capable of being grasped by one hand; a fixing member to vertically fix a portable terminal loaded with a display unit provided on a top unit of the grasp unit to be removable for displaying the data read from the radio tag by the antenna unit; a communication unit for transmitting and receiving the data by carrying out radio communication with the portable terminal; and a switch provided on the opposite side to the position where the fixing member is arranged in the grasp unit for changing over on or off of radio communication by the antenna unit with the radio tag, and the switch can be operated with the portable terminal being fixed to the fixed member.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
