PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal combustion engine oil separator, capable of improving oil separation performance.SOLUTION: An oil separator 10 comprises: a gas-liquid separation passage 56 formed by a lower wall 56A, an upper wall 56B, and a pair of sidewalls 56C and 56D, and extending in a horizontal direction; a gas inlet 54 and a gas outlet 63 provided on both ends of the gas-liquid separation passage 56, respectively; a plurality of lower partition walls 56H protruding from the lower wall 56A; and a plurality of upper partition walls 56J protruding from the upper wall 56B. Each lower partition wall 56H and each upper partition wall 56J are inclined with respect to a longitudinal direction of the gas-liquid separation passage 56 in a plan view and form a helical flow passage extending in the gas-liquid separation passage 56 in the longitudinal direction. If it is assumed that a swirl direction from the gas inlet 56 to the gas outlet 63 along the helical flow passage is a normal rotation direction, the lower wall 56A is disposed inclined with respect to a horizontal surface so that an upstream portion corresponding to an upstream side in the normal rotation direction is located downward of a downstream portion corresponding to a downstream side in a view from a direction along the longitudinal direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
