PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose an elevator apparatus that suppresses an unbalanced load, which is imposed on a car, without complicating the structure and increasing the mass of the entire car, and that deters occurrence of uneven wear on guide devices and guide rail.SOLUTION: In an elevator apparatus having guide devices that guide rise and fall of a car, the car is coupled to a main rope at a substantially center position in an upper part, and coupled to a tail cord at a position other than a substantially center position on the bottom. The guide devices are disposed in the upper or lower part of the car so that the guide devices can be engaged with a guide rail disposed in advance in a hoistway. A base having a variable length is included to vary an installation distance between the guide devices, which are disposed in the upper or lower part of the car, along with the rise and fall of the car.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
