Provided is an α-aminoalkylphenone compound that has excellent stability and low sublimability, that efficiently generates radicals in response to a bright line of 365 nm (an i-line) or the like, and that is useful as a polymerization initiator for use in a radically polymerizable composition. The α-aminoalkylphenone compound is represented by formula (I). In formula (I), R11 is preferably a nitro group, an alkoxy group having 1 to 12 carbon atoms, or an alkoxycarbonyl group having 1 to 12 carbon atoms. The α-aminoalkylphenone compound can be suitably used as a polymerization initiator.
