A device (1) for handling slides (2), and/or cassettes (3), for specimens of biological material is described and comprises at least one supporting container (10) in which a plurality of cassettes or slides are inserted and supported in at least one rest position in which the cassettes, or slides, are arranged in succession, preferably in a plurality of spaces (S). The container (10) comprises guide means (15) for the insertion and support, in its inside, of at least one slide or cassette. The device further comprises displacing means (8) to displace at least one slide (2), or at least one cassette (3), from the rest position towards at least one operative position, while holding the slide, or cassette, inside the container (10). A method for handling slides and/or cassettes is further described. |
