Disclosed is a latch strike keeper or receiver plate with recessed centre and surrounding flange to conceal a door or jamb void and a lock assembly that includes the plate. The receiving member for a 5 latch assembly or strike assembly comprises a plate member having a hole therein, the hole being configured to allow a latch to pass therethrough. A wall surrounds the perimeter of the plate member, the wall extending away from and substantially perpendicular to the plate member. A flange extends outwardly from the perimeter of the wall distal from the plate member. The receiving member is configured to be mounted in a recess or void in a door jamb or door edge such that the flange abuts a 0 surface of the door jamb or door edge, as the case may be, and substantially conceals or hides the edge of the recess. A strike assembly, latch assembly and a kitset are also disclosed. |
