PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the information about a document accurately.SOLUTION: An image reader includes a first reference member arranged at a position facing a reading section across the conveyance path of a document, and a second reference member arranged on the conveyance path between the reading section and first reference member, and sliding in the conveyance direction as the document is conveyed.
