The present invention relates to a lithium secondary battery which minimizes resistance, heat and combustion with respect to an internal short-circuit of an electrochemical device because a positive electrode using spinel-based manganese oxide containing lithium with excellent thermal safety as a positive electrode active material and a composite separator having an organic/inorganic coating layer are used together.
